Introduction: Zou Xuexiao (Jul. 24, 1963 - ), male, Han nationality, is native of Hengyang County, Hunan Province, an expert in vegetable breeding and a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the Department of Horticulture, Hunan Agricultural University in 1986 with a master’s degree in Agriculture, received his doctorate degree in Management from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2002 and a doctorate degree in Agriculture from the Nanjing Agricultural University in 2005. At present, he is the president of the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, chief scientist of the Technical System of National Characteristic Vegetable Industry, director of the Technical Research and Development Centre of National Characteristic Vegetable Industry, vice chairman of the Chinese Society for Horticultural Science, chairman of the Hunan Society for Horticultural Science, and member of the Standing Committee of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress.
