The invention relates to a tie knot decorative element which comprises a visible side which is adapted to the front side of a tie knot, a short end which protrudes from the top end of said visible side edge and a longer, inwardly arched end which protrudes from the lateral edges thereof to the rear thereof. Said tie knot decorative element is fixed directly onto the front side of the bound tie knot which it conceals. Said element is not just a decorative element for the user but is also used as a protection for the material of the tie knot, especially for people who have a beard or a full beard. The visible side thereof constitutes the decorative face and the protective surface. In order to fix the decorative element onto the knot, the short end is placed on to the upper part thereof, during which both of the long ends surround the knot in a lateral manner. The rear side of the decorative knot is open.
