Abstract

The kimberlite dikes in the Kalix-Luleå archipelago, carlier described by Geijer and W. Larsson, have their content of olivine replaced by serpentine etc. A kimberlite boulder from this area that was handed over for examination in 1948, contained however fresh olivine in abundance. The Li-bearing mica cryophyllite was noticed in the groundmass of this kimberlite.
