The use of the prepuce in the repair of hypospadias

Abstract

Summary A method of repair of hypospadias by the use of the prepuce has been described. This method fulfils the following requirements: (1) The chordee is corrected; (2) the lining of the reconstructed urethra does not grow hair; (3) the urethra has a normal exit in the glans of the penis; (4) no dilatation is required to maintain the lumen of the reconstructed urethra.
