Abstract

The vascular anatomy of three abnormal flowers ofSaraca indica with 5 perianth segments has been studied and compared with that of the normal ones with a 4-membered perianth. 2. The contention of the authors already published, that one of the 4 perianth segments of the normal flower is a double oneis supported by the vascular anatomy of these teratological specimens.
