A Simplified Simulation of the Helicopter in Automatic Stabilization Analyses

Peress, Kenneth E. Kaufman, Lawrence
Abstract

A simplified representation of the helicopter in automatic stabilization analyses is developed. It is shown that the helicopter may be represented as a simple inertia. Simple explicit expressions for the required stabilization feedback gains are derived in terms of the desired closed loop natural frequency and damping ratio and physical constants of the helicopters
