1. 1. A case report of fatal pulmonary amniotic fluid embolism is presented. 2. 2. Amniotic fluid pulmonary embolism was reproduced experimentally in rabbits and the clinical and pathological findings were similar to those found in human beings. 3. 3. Pulmonary embolism rather than anaphylactic shock is productive of death in amniotic fluid pulmonary embolism.
