Introduction: Zhang Xiaoye is an expert in applied meteorology and a native of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. He graduated from Nanjing University in 1995 with a doctoral degree. He is currently a researcher and was once the former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences. He is also the chairman of the advisory committee of the WMO SDSWAS and the chairman of the Atmospheric Composition Committee of the Chinese Meteorological Society.
