Introduction: Dr. Betsy Stevens is an associate professor in the College of Business at Zayed University, UAE. Prior to that she taught at Cornell University, the University of Michigan, San Jose State and Elon University in the United States. Her academic interests are in business ethics and management communication. An active researcher, she has published more than 25 articles in refereed journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Communication, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, the FIU Hospitality Review, Business Communication Quarterly, and the Electronic Journal of Business Ethics and Organization Studies. She earned her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Cincinnati and her Ph.D from Wayne State University. Dr. Stevens created study abroad courses in New Zealand and Vietnam for Elon University. As a Fulbright Scholar she taught university classes at Tomsk State University in Russia and has been on the faculty of the Australian International Hotel School in Canberra.
