Nintendo may reveal its cheaper Switch option very soon.

The new version of its portable console is likely to launch by the end of June, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a pair of anonymous sources.

Thoses source also noted that slightly upgraded Switch will come out this year, but won't be more powerful as suggested by a report last month.

Nintendo hasn't officially announced either new version of its console, but Bloomberg noted that it's likely to acknowledge at least one when company president Shuntaro Furukawa on Thursday announces financial results for the last fiscal year and guidance for the coming year.

Nintendo didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Switch debuted in March 2017 and became the fastest-selling console in US history after shifting 4.8 million units in its first 10 months. It's expected to sell 17.3 million consoles globally in 2019, according to market research firm Strategy Analytics, but that forecast may jump upwards if the console enters the massive Chinese market.
