Malta accedes to the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict

On 15 July, Malta deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 14 May 1954).

In accordance with the terms of its Article 33 (2) of the Convention, the Convention will enter into force with respect to Malta three months after the deposit of the instrument of accession, that is to say on 15 October 2024.
