The sixth World Intelligence Congress kicked off online and in person in Tianjin on Friday, with a theme of "new era intelligence: digitalization drives growth, intelligence wins future".

The two-day congress where two summits and 30 parallel forums are to be held will focus on fields including artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacture, digital economy and China's dual carbon goals (peaking carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060).

The congress' online technology exhibition attracted more than 200 companies including Huawei, Tencent and Alibaba and will be held online from June 24 to 30.

To encourage innovation, the congress has, for the first time, launched the evaluation of WIC Outstanding Cases for intelligent applications. Ten out of 186 cases will be selected as outstanding and will be announced to the world.

The organizers said they will continue to hold five competitions this year highlighting smart driving, robotics, mobile apps, data processing and algorithms and sports.

In addition, the congress provides online platforms to facilitate deal strikes for major projects.
