Huge Group expects an increase in earnings across the board for the year ended 29 February, it said in a trading statement. It expects earnings per share (EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) to increase by between 0 percent and 5 percent year-on-year. EPS will rise to between ZAR 0.567 and ZAR 0.597 from ZAR 0.568 the year before, and HEPS will increase to between ZAR 0.558 and ZAR 0.586 from the ZAR 0.558 reported in the preceding year.
On a normalised basis, EPS will increase by 15 percent to 25 percent from ZAR 0.481 in 2019 to between ZAR 0.553 and ZAR 0.601 in the year under review. Normalised HEPS will rise by 15 percent to 25 percent, to between ZAR 0.541 and ZAR 0.588 in 2020, from ZAR 0.470 in 2019.
Huge said it has decided that it will report normalised EPS and normalised HEPS in addition to EPS and HEPS for the 220 financial results under preparations.
