Quickline wins contract to deliver broadband to 8,000 rural Lincolnshire premises

UK ISP Quickline Communications, subsidiary of BigBlu Broadband, has won a contract to provide fixed wireless access (FWA) to premises across Lincolnshire that are unable to access high-speed and reliable internet connectivity.

The contract with the Lincolnshire Authority will see Quickline expand its fibre-backed, FWA network to an additional 8,000 premises in rural areas within two years, enabling them to connect to superfast/ultrafast broadband services. The contract provides for a total network investment of up to GBP 8.1 million. An initial subsidy is being provided for the programme, including GBP 3.1 million from the Lincolnshire Local Authority and GBP 1.5 million from the ERDF, with a further GBP 1.5 million available subject to conditions. Quickline is investing GBP 2 million in the roll-out.
