Hot temperatures over the Central Plains combined with humidity have spared some severe storms earlier Sunday and could last into the overnight hours. Here is the latest forecast on the severe storms in the Plains for the next few days.

Severe Outlook

A few severe storms are still possible in the overnight hours, but will be very isolated in nature.

Severe Risks

The main severe risks will be large hail and damaging winds with today’s storms. The tornado threat will be low, but as anytime we see severe storms…we can’t completely take out a very isolated tornado risk.

Forecast

Our latest forecast has some storms keeping their intensity where the greatest wind shear will sustain their updrafts tonight.
