Heavy rain has been impacting the Gulf Coast over the last few days. First we had Tropical Storm Claudette and now we have a stalling frontal boundary with an abundance of moisture to work with in these areas along the coast. Here is the latest flash flooding forecast.
3 Day Rainfall
So many areas have been impacted by heavy rain along the Gulf Coast the past few days. The highest rainfall has been located around Panama City, Florida.
Flood Alerts
Flash flood watches are in place along the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and Mississippi. There are areas that have had so much rain recently that it won’t take much to create a flooding risk.
Forecast Rainfall
The additional rainfall in the forecast could exceed 4 inches in some spots and this will be over already very saturated grounds. Definitely have a plan in place in case you have to head to higher ground!
