BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- China will strengthen vocational education cooperation with France, source from Education Office of Chinese Embassy in France.

Vocational education cooperation will be a key area for China-French educational exchanges and cooperation so as to cultivate technical talents needed for modern service industries, and such cooperation will be advanced in China-France friendship cities and provinces, said Yang Jin, Minister Counselor with the Education Office.

China-France cooperation in education field has yielded fruitful results in recent years and the two countries are expanding their cooperation field, added Yang.

The French government and all walks of life have widely recognized and welcomed China's Belt and Road Initiative, which has laid a solid foundation for further exchanges and cooperation between China and France in educational field.

In 2018, about 46,000 Chinese students studied in France, while more than 10,000 French students studied in China. (Edited by Bao Nuomin, baonuomin@xinhua.org)
