01:42

China's annual Two Sessions, the premiere events of the nation's political season, are just around the corner.

Many across China have lots of questions and also expectations ahead of this year's conferences, postponed by two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here's what some in Chengdu, in southwest China's Sichuan province have to say.

Construction worker Wang Shigang said he hopes deputies pay more attention to education of children in the rural areas of China.

"I also hope school children in villages can have shuttle bus or bus services to and from school just like city children," Wang said.

Medical student Wen Junru said he hopes that more resources are put into health care and improving daily medical work.

Construction worker Wu Jiashun also asked that migrant workers be given more attention and higher wages.

"I hope they can pay more attention to migrant workers and that we can gain more recognition and respect from society," Wu said. "Also I hope to earn more money and be able to start a family."
