What does the environment mean to you? The European Environment Agency asked this question and invited photographers to have their take through a visual essay. The winners will be awarded cash prizes of EUR 2000 for the 1st prize, EUR 1500 for the 2nd prize, EUR 1000 for the 3rd prize and EUR 500 for People’s Choice award and youth prize. The winning entries will be selected by a panel of experts from across Europe on 16 December, while the People’s Choice award will be selected by public vote, open till 15 November.
