To draw global attention to engineering science and technology and manifest the wisdom and strength of engineers, Engineering, the flagship journal of Chinese Academy of Engineering, has launched the selection of Global Top Ten Engineering Achievements since the year of 2021 and publish the shortlist annually to the world.

Now Global Top Ten Engineering Achievements 2023 opens. Here, on behalf of Engineering, we invite you to nominate your picks for the Achievements.

To be nominated, the proposed Achievement shall comply with the principles below.

1. The Achievements refer to major engineering projects or significant engineering and technological breakthroughs. The proposed Achievement shall be an accomplished result and accepted separately or jointly by multiple countries five years prior to the election year (2018-2022).

2. Significant breakthroughs in engineering technology. The core technology of the proposed Achievement shall be a pioneering breakthrough and/or solution to long-standing bottlenecks and difficulties, owning multiple intellectual property rights and touching the world leading level. Or it is a huge improvement on single or multiple performances as compared with previous similar projects and shall remain competitive in the future.

3. Outstanding innovations in system. The proposed Achievement shall have distinctive innovation characteristics in technology and/or system integration, achieving engineering safety, precision, and sustainability, or resource allocation and organizational management in major projects.

4. Tremendous benefits in application. The proposed Achievement shall act as an important part in driving industrial development and promoting national economic strength. Once completed, it will not only bring benefits to human production and living, but also promote high-quality development of human society.

5. The Achievements may involve the following fields: mechanical and vehicle engineering; information and electronic engineering; chemical, metallurgical, and materials engineering; energy and mining engineering; civil, hydraulic, and architectural engineering; environmental and light textile engineering; agriculture; medicine and health, etc.

You may nominate one to three projects or breakthroughs in your field that comply with the abovementioned principles. Please finish your nomination and send us back the Nomination Form before May 31, 2023.
