Background
The big data competition has been jointly organized by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology under the auspices of UNESCO (IKCEST), the China Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (CKCEST), Baidu, and Xi’an Jiaotong University. The Ministry of Education, and the Universities Alliance of the Silk Road are also involved. Shanghai University of Sport is a specially invited partner of the competition. The aim is to identify top talent in the global big data and artificial intelligence sector, particularly talented individuals from Belt and Road countries, in an effort to help the government, industry, and higher education institutions jointly drive the research, application, and development of the big data industry, and cultivate innovative AI talent.
Topic: AI Sports Commentary

With the rapid development of AI technology, its application in sports events has become increasingly widespread, especially in automated video analysis and event commentary. This competition aims to challenge participants to use computer vision technology to deeply analyze dynamic footage of sports events. By integrating large language models, natural language processing, speech generation, and other technologies, participants will design AI agents/plugins for generating event commentary. Through this technical challenge, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in video processing, object recognition and tracking, large language models, and more. The ultimate goal of this competition is to advance the practical application of AI in the sports field, explore how AI technology can enhance the viewing experience of sports events, and improve the dissemination and understanding of events through technological innovation. Additionally, the competition provides a platform for participants to demonstrate and exchange their technical prowess and innovative thinking.
