Professor Edna Maria Ramos de Castro received the title of Professor Emeritus of UFPA
Professor Edna Maria Ramos de Castro (former president of ANPUR) received the title of Professor Emeritus of UFPA on July 24th of 2020.
Edna Castro is a graduate of Social Sciences from UFPA and a PhD in Sociology from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, once a teacher at the University of Montreal, Canada, Le Havre, France, and Brasilia (UnB), in addition to UFPA. Currently, even retired, she still acts a s a volunteer teacher in the Program of Post-Graduation in Sustainable Development of the Damned Tropic (PPSTUGD/NAEA), of which she was the first coordinator, and in the post-Graduation Sociology and Anthropology Program (PPGSA/IFCH), both of UFPA.
