Edna Castro is a graduate of Social Sciences from UFPA and a PhD in Sociology from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, once a teacher at the University of Montreal, Canada, Le Havre, France, and Brasilia (UnB), in addition to UFPA. Currently, even retired, she still acts a s a volunteer teacher in the Program of Post-Graduation in Sustainable Development of the Damned Tropic (PPSTUGD/NAEA), of which she was the first coordinator, and in the post-Graduation Sociology and Anthropology Program (PPGSA/IFCH), both of UFPA.
