2019年11月9日至10日,11月16日至17日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”、“IKCEST”）和西安交通大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的IKCEST第65期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学举行，共有来自西安交通大学的113名留学生参加了培训，他们分别来自巴基斯坦、乌干达、印度等15个“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 65th IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development was held in Xi’an Jiaotong University from Nov. 9th to 10th, and Nov. 16th to Nov. 17th, 2019. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and was organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. 113 foreign students from 15 Belt-Road countries such as Pakistan, Uganda, India, etc. in Xi’an Jiaotong University registered for the workshop. 

本次培训为期4天，由西安交大资深教授团队亲临授课，内容涵盖：癌症治疗的现状与展望、人工智能简介、脑机接口导论、第5代移动通信系统与网络概述、丝绸之路沿线感染性疾病防控的发展趋势、腹腔镜及机器人辅助腹腔镜微创手术在泌尿外科的应用、衰老和脑研究、妇产科的奇幻之旅等。课上教师以授课为主，注重实践体验与师生互动，理论联系实际，深入浅出。留学生们对癌症治疗、简单妇产科知识等有了简单的认知，纷纷表示希望进一步学习此类课程，回国后为国家在科技及医疗的发展做贡献。

This programme lasted for about 4 days. Teachers from Xi’an Jiaotong University gave lectures on the topics of Current Status and Future Prospects in Cancer Therapy, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Brain Machine Interface, 5G in a Nutshell, The Trend of Infectious Diseases Control and Prevention Along Silk Road, The laparoscopic and Da vincin robotic surgery in urology, Ageing and Brain Research, and A Magic Journey in Gynecology & Obstetrics. Teachers also integrated theory with practice, and dealt with a subject with profundity and an easy-to-understand approach. Trainees have a simple understanding of cancer treatment, simple gynecology and obstetrics knowledge, and have expressed their desire to further study such courses and make contributions to the development of science, technology and medical care after returning to their countries.

目前，IKCEST丝路培训基地已举办65期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”，共培养了来自100余个国家的6,000余名留学生、以及在华外向型企业人员。此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用，同时，也为推动文化、科技、教育交流，为丝路沿线和欧亚非地区经济社会发展做出重要贡献。

Up till recently, 65 sessions of IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development have been held by Silk Road Training Base, training more than 6,000 foreign students and staff from export-oriented Chinese companies from over 100 countries. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. In the Meanwhile, it also made important contributions to the economic and social development of European, Asian and African Belt-road countries and regions.

IKCEST是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

IKCEST is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO and was established in June 2014 in Beijing. Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims to provide knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi’an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering science and technology talents for Belt-road countries.
