2017年11月4日至11月14日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（IKCEST）和西安交通大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第19期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学兴庆校区举行，共有44名留学生参加培训，他们分别来自12个“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 19th IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development themed on Chemical Engineering was held in Xingqing Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University from November 4th to November 14th. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of 44 foreign students registered for the workshop. They are from 12 countries along the Silk Road. 

培训班开班典礼由继续教育学院陈灵副院长主持，社会教育管理处巩稳定副处长出席开班典礼并讲话。巩稳定副处长讲到：希望通过培训，促进中国与“一带一路”沿线国家的科技及文化交流；希望培训学员能够珍惜学习机会，学好专业知识，服务本国人民。

The opening ceremony was hosted by Chen Ling, Vice Dean of School of Continuing Education of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Gong Wending, Deputy Director of Social Education Management Department of Xi’an Jiaotong University, attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech. He expressed his hope that the scientific and cultural exchanges between China and the countries along the Silk Road can be promoted through the training. And he also hoped that trainees can cherish these learning opportunities so that they could learn professional knowledge and serve their people.

本期的培训内容为“走进魅力化工班”，内容上涵盖走近魅力化工概述、高分子化工、材料化工、夹点分析技术及其应用、膜分离技术-从日常生活到工业生产、储能器件—锂离子电池和超级电容器、未来气候变化的关键：二氧化碳捕集与封存技术、生物固碳的机遇和挑战、过程流体机械在能源化工中的应用与进展、石油化工概况等。

This workshop focused on the topic of Chemical Engineering. The workshop included lectures such as Introduction of Chemical Engineering，Polymer Science in Chemical Engineering, State-of-Art and Perspectives of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering,  Pinch Analysis Technology and Its Application, Membrane Separation Technology – From daily life to Industry, Energy conversion devices—Lithium ion batteries and Supercapacitor, CCS Development, the Key to climate change’s Future, Challenges and opportunities for biological conversion of methane into bio-based products, Fluid Machinery for the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry, An Introduction to Petrochemical Industry, etc.

授课师资为我校化工学院的师资团队。精心设计的培训方案、授课老师精彩的讲座受到留学生的一致欢迎。对于符合结业条件的学员，将由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心和西安交通大学联合颁发结业证书。

The teaching staff is the faculty team of School of Chemical Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Well-designed training programmes and wonderful lectures by the instructors are welcomed by international students. For those who meet the conditions for completion, a certificate of completion will be jointly issued by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
