2017年10月14日至10月22日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（IKCEST）和西安交通大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第17期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学雁塔校区举行，共有115名留学生参加培训，他们分别来自28个“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 17th IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development themed on Frontier Development of Medical Science and Technology was held in Yanta Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University from October 14th to October 22nd. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of 115 foreign students registered for the workshop. They are from 28 countries along the Silk Road.

西安交通大学继续教育学院院长邸德海、副院长张平川出席了开班典礼。邸德海院长在开班典礼上做了讲话,希望通过培训促进中国与“一带一路”沿线国家的科技及文化交流;希望培训学员能够珍惜学习机会，学好专业知识，服务本国人民。

Di Dehai, Dean of the School of Continuing Education of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Vice Dean Zhang Pingchuan attended the opening ceremony. Di Dehai gave a speech on this opening ceremony. He expressed his hope that through this programme, oversea students can promote technological and cultural exchanges between China and Silk Road countries. He also hoped that trainees could cherish the learning opportunities, learn professional knowledge and serve their own people.

本期的培训内容为“医学科技前沿发展培训班”,培训内容包括医学基础和医学临床方面的前沿进展、专业知识，如血管疾病、糖尿病和肥胖症患者的饮食选择与相关政策导向，衰老和脑研究，细菌16S rRNA基因的特点及应用，组织大分子原位检测的光镜技术和方法，腹腔镜及机器人辅助腹腔镜微创手术在泌尿外科的应用，糖尿病药物治疗新进展，皮疹背后的故事等。授课师资为我校医学部优秀的师资团队。

This workshop focused on the topic of Frontier Development of Medical Science and Technology. The training content included the Cutting Edge Advances as well as Professional Knowledge in Medical Basics and Medical Clinical Aspects Such As Dietary Choices and Related Policy Guidance for the Patients of Vascular Diseases, Diabetes and Obesity, Aging and Brain Research, the Characteristics and Applications of Bacterial 16S rRNA Gene, the Light Microscopy Techniques and Methods for Organizational Macromolecule Situ Detection, the Application of Laparoscopic and Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Minimally Invasive Surgery in Urinary Surgery, New Advances in Diabetes Drug Therapy, the Story Behind Rash, etc. The teaching staff is an excellent faculty team of the medical department of Xi’an Jiaotong University.

目前，丝路培训基地已举办了16期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”，此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用，同时，也为西安交大倡导发起的丝路大学联盟、国际丝路学院等一系列工作探索发展道路。

Till now, there have been 16 IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting "the Belt and Road Initiative". In the meantime, it is also exploring the development direction for projects initiated by XJTU, such as University Alliance of the New Silk Road and Silk Road Academy.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
