2017年9月24日至9月28日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（IKCEST）和西安交通大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第15期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学兴庆校区举行， 共有来自西安交通大学、西安石油大学、西安电子科技大学、长安大学的65名留学生参加培训，他们分别来自15个“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 15th IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development themed on Innovative Application of IOT Theory and Practice was held in Xingqing Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University from September 24th to September 28th. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of 65 foreign students from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an Shiyou University, Xidian University and Chang’an University registered for the workshop. They are from 15 countries along the Silk Road.

开班典礼邀请了西安交通大学网络教育学院陈灵副院长，他在讲话中提到：IKCEST丝路培训基地是联合国教科文组织在国内高校设立的首个国际工程科技知识中心培训基地，是瞄准“一带一路”沿线国家人才需求为丝路沿线国家培养工程科技人才，通过民心相通促进“丝路五通”，弘扬丝路精神。期望参训的学员们以培训为契机，学有所获、学有所得，将学到的知识运用到学习工作中，为丝绸之路沿线国家经济发展贡献智慧和力量。

Chen Ling, Vice Dean from School of Distance Learning of Xi’an Jiaotong University attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech at the same time. He mentioned in his speech: The IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was the first International Training Center for engineering science and technology set up by UNESCO in domestic universities. It aimed at cultivating talents of engineering science and technology in the countries along the Silk Road countries, promoting “policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, people-to-people bond” through people-to-people bond, carrying forward the Silk Road spirit. It was hoped that the participants would take the training as an opportunity to learn and apply the knowledge they have learned to their study, and contribute their wisdom and strength to the economic development of Belt-road countries.

来自长安大学的巴基斯坦留学生代表Ahmad HossamChoudhary在发言中肯定了中国在当今世界的重要地位，对中国提出一带一路构想表示高度赞赏，并表示此举对中巴友谊非常重要，同时非常感谢IKCEST丝路培训基地提供这次珍贵培训机会。

Ahmad HossamChoudhary, an international student from Chang’an University in Pakistan, got full recognition for China’s important status in the world today, and highly appreciated the concept of the Belt and Road policy proposed by China. It said that the move was very important to the friendship between China and Pakistan. Meanwhile, she was very grateful to IKCEST Silk Road Training Base for providing this precious training opportunity.

本期的培训为“物联网理论与实践创新应用”，培训内容聚焦物联网与智慧生活、面向物联网的智能器件与系统、软件定义网络、物联网时代的概念技术及挑战、第5代移动通信系统与网络概述等专业知识，此外还穿插“一带一路”的历史与未来、中国文化概述、娱乐产业的法律问题等中国历史文化法律类讲座。

This workshop focused on the topic of Innovative Application of IOT Theory and Practice. The workshop included lectures such as the IOT and Smart Life, Intelligent Devices and Systems for the IOT, Software Definition Network, Concept Technology and Challenges in the Era of Internet of Things, the Fifth Generation Mobile Communication System and Network Overview, and other professional knowledge. In addition, we also have lectures on The History and Future of the Belt and Road Initiative, lectures on Chinese History，Culture and Law, such as Cultural Overview, Legal Issues of Entertainment Industry, etc.

截至目前，IKCEST丝路培训基地先后在大数据、医学、生命科学等领域成功举办14期专项培训，覆盖来自70个国家和地区的1000多名学员，充分发挥高等教育在“一带一路”人才培养方面的资源优势和引领作用，致力培养国际型、专业型、实用型高端人才，为“一带一路”建设提供人才支撑和智力支持。

Till now, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base has successively held 14 special training in Big Data, Medicine, Life Sciences and Other Fields, covering over 1000 students from 70 countries and regions. Now IKCEST Silk Road Training Base is committed to cultivating international, professional and practical high-end talents by giving full play to the resources superiority and leading role of higher education in the Belt and Road Initiative talent cultivation.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
